Terms of Use

By accessing or using Tapwise, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Tapwise is a personal finance utility tool that helps you:

• ·Understand which credit cards maximize rewards on your spending
• ·See estimated annual reward value in ₹ for cards you hold or are considering
• ·Parse your own bank transaction emails to personalize recommendations

Tapwise is NOT:

• ·A bank, NBFC, or financial institution
• ·A credit card issuer or aggregator
• ·A SEBI or RBI registered investment or financial advisor
• ·A credit bureau or credit score provider

You must be:

• ·At least 18 years old
• ·A resident of India, or accessing the service for Indian credit card analysis
• ·The legitimate owner of the Google account you use to sign in

• ·You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account
• ·You must not share your Tapwise session with others
• ·You must not use Tapwise to analyze someone else's financial data without their explicit consent
• ·One account per user

When you grant Gmail read access:

• ·You confirm you are the account owner
• ·You understand Tapwise reads only transaction notification emails
• ·You understand that emails in formats our rule-based parsers do not recognize may be processed by our AI provider to extract the transaction, as described in our Privacy Policy
• ·You can revoke access at any time via myaccount.google.com/permissions
• ·Tapwise is not liable for any inaccuracy in parsed transaction data resulting from non-standard email formats used by banks

• ·Reward rates displayed on Tapwise are sourced from publicly available issuer websites and updated regularly
• ·Where sources conflict, we use the lower, conservative value
• ·Actual rewards earned depend on your specific card variant, bank policies, merchant category codes (MCCs), and any caps or exclusions set by your bank
• ·Tapwise makes no guarantee that the reward value shown will match what your bank credits
• ·Always confirm current reward terms in your bank's official app or website before you swipe

• ·The Tapwise name, logo, UI design, and underlying algorithms are the intellectual property of Darsh Shah and Tapwise
• ·Card names, bank logos, and reward program names are trademarks of their respective owners, used by Tapwise for informational reference only
• ·You may not copy, scrape, reverse-engineer, or redistribute any part of Tapwise without written permission

You must not use Tapwise to:

• ·Attempt to access other users' data
• ·Scrape card catalog or reward data for commercial purposes
• ·Introduce malware, bots, or automated scripts
• ·Impersonate any person or entity
• ·Violate any applicable Indian law

Violations may result in immediate account termination and legal action.

• ·Tapwise is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind
• ·We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, especially during the beta and MVP phase
• ·To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Tapwise's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed ₹500
• ·We are not liable for any financial loss, missed rewards, or decisions made based on Tapwise recommendations

You agree to indemnify Tapwise and its operators from any claim, loss, or damage arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

For any dispute under ₹50,000, we will first attempt resolution via email within 30 days before either party may approach a court.

We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before any material change. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
